SHOWING OFF OUR
B.E.S.T.!
Students gathered together on
Wednesday afternoon to show off their
B.E.S.T.  From the cheerleaders'
B.E.S.T.-themed chants and cheers to
the Oral Presentation Team's dress
rehearsal for Game Day, we heard and
saw it all.  Jimmy and the Kids (a.k.a.
The 30A Rockers) publicly debuted
their original score and invited us to
their live concert outside the field
house at UWF on Saturday.  The
Notebook Team displayed their
notebook and talked briefly about its
contents for the parents and
community members eager to hear
about our mission.  Our t-shirts were
delivered and were worn proudly as we
increased our excitement at the pep
rally of the year.  And, finally, what
we'd all been waiting for... we met our
very own MARSbot SNS292.  The Build
and Design team introduced us to the
machine (with a heart) that would take
us to Auburn.  After a short test drive
and a viewing of our mission video,
documenting our progress to date, we
adjourned for a couple of days of R&R
(student days off from school) before
we gathered for Blast Off on Saturday.

We were thrilled to share our B.E.S.T.
with a reporter from the Walton Sun
who took pictures at our rally and
placed an article regarding our mission
in the Saturday edition.
Students and staff were thrilled with an unexpected
visit from Elyse Molstad from WJHG Channel 7 on
Thursday afternoon.  She interviewed students and
teachers who have played a part in bringing our
mission to success. Her coverage aired during the
nighttime news on Channel 7 that evening and
several times throughout the day on Friday.  We
appreciate her willingness to promote all the hard
work we've been putting into our competition
preparations.
